Hi I’m Jenny; English not your first language? Hit our Google Translate button on the left menu, and we’ll make it easy for you! See my brother Fred above on the spotlight boat, and I’m holding a plate of Kakadu’s wet season fruits! Come and try some, they’re delicious! You might want to learn how to weave a pandanus bracelet, throw a hunting spear, play the didgeridoo with the boys, experience Kakadu’s only night wildlife boat cruise, or try our 3 course dinner cooked on the coals. And if you want to camp the night with us, we can put you up in one of our deluxe safari tents!
We’re looking forward to an exciting year at our culture camp in 2012, including operating our unique tour Kakadu Culture Camp 4WD Safari, where we host the AAT Kings/Aussie Adventure 3 day Kakadu Aboriginal culture tour. We’ll look after you for 2 nights at our place, be special guests on our Kakadu by Night tour, and then you’re guided around the best of Kakadu’s spectacular World Heritage Area, including rock art sites, JimJim Falls and Yellow Water! In 2012 there are 2 small group departures/week from Darwin operating May-October. Look at our website and check out our photo album to see how you can have a close-up experience of Kakadu’s living Aboriginal culture and amazing wildlife.
If you’ve had enough of hotels with hundreds of people come and stay with us, we’re way out bush in the middle of Kakadu, you’ll love it! So c’mon, we’ll get the fire going, boil the billy for a hot cuppa and have a chat! I look forward to welcoming you to Kakadu; the home of big Barramundi and even bigger Crocodiles! Over the ‘wet’ season check out Andy’s twitter for what we’re up to, and other news about Kakadu! See you soon, Boh Boh; that’s Goodbye in our Gundjeihmi language!
Check out great info about our UNESCO World Heritage Area, maps, tours and good oil check out www.kakadu.com.au AND Google map of our camp.
P.S. We’ve closed the Kakadu Culture Camp for the ‘wet’ season. Our Camp site has been flooded and underwater, so I’ve gone back to working as a Kakadu Park Ranger. We look forward to seeing you soon in ‘Bangerreng’ Dry Season 2012!
